Rankings are not for sale.

OpenSourceChoice does not sell catalog placement, sponsored ranking, or preferential visibility. Collaboration is welcome when it stays clearly disclosed and never rewrites discovery signals.

01

What is not available

There are no featured listing packages, paid comparison wins, homepage “boost” tiers, or hidden affiliate ranking lifts. Submission remains free for eligible open-source projects.

02

Why this matters

Users should be able to distinguish technical discovery from advertising. Keeping ranking independent makes repository, license, and fit signals easier to trust—especially for teams evaluating alternatives.

03

Partnerships we will consider

We are open to future monetization that sits beside the catalog, not inside it. Pitch a model that preserves ranking integrity and we will review it seriously.

  • Clearly labeled newsletter or guide sponsorships
  • Disclosed case studies or co-authored evaluation notes
  • Company or maintainer profiles that add facts—not sort order
  • Hiring / community sponsorships for OSS teams
  • Research, data, or event collaborations with attribution
04

Bring your own offer

If you have a collaboration idea that helps open-source adopters without buying a ranking, email a short proposal: audience, format, disclosure plan, and what success looks like. Custom packages are welcome; we will say no when trust would suffer.

Share a useful project

The best way to appear in the catalog is still free: maintain a public repository, document the license and product clearly, and submit accurate metadata.
